I'm thankful for first hand-print-turkey pictures.
(And, dude, she totally can write her own name. It looks a little funny but that's definitely her name. My baby, she is obviously brilliant.)
(And and, I about wet myself with glee when I saw this picture in her mailbox at preschool. Next up, macaroni picture frames!)
(And and and, those lines coming out of the turkey's butt? Chicky informed me that those are the turkey's tail and not the turkey trots.)
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. And to my Canadian and European friends, Happy Thursday.

Well, it's clear that those lines show that this is a jet-fueled turkey, flying through space!
Happy turkey day!
xo
Oh my god - perfect. Charlotte made one at preschool this week out of a paper plate with cut out feathers glued on. My baby uses scissors! I am partial to the popsicle stick picture frame but also like the macaroni.
Happy Thanksgiving, sister.
Great picture. I too think those lines show that this is one fast turkey. Happy Thanksgiving to you too!
Are you sure that isn't steam?
Nice pic and she did a good job on it.
We're up to our yinyangs in snow up here. Good thing the Pilgrim Fathers landed where they did.
Happy Thanksgiving!
I'm with Fairy Odd Mother...that is one fast turkey. He might make it past Thanksgiving.
Very nice drawing, and her printing is quite good too.
Happy Thanksgiving, Mrs. Chicky.
My favourite part of the turkey are its turkey toes. TOO CUTE.
Happy Thanksgiving!
That picture, and your daughter, are nothing short of brilliant.
Happy Turkey Day!
awesome. there is nothing like a turkey hand drawing. it's like a rite of passage or something ;)
happy thanksgiving!
I remember those first hand print turkeys. They rocked!
Happy Thanksgiving to you to!
I think there's a law somewhere that all preschoolers must have at least one hand print turkey. This one is a keeper for sure.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Aw, we had our first handprint turkeys too. One is on our door, one is on Grandpa's door, and six hundred thousand are still in the pages of the scribble pad.
Cool! Love the flying turkey. Next, it will be garland made out of red and green construction paper.
Oh, I miss the handprint turkeys. And the handprint Santas, and the handprint Valentine's Day cards.
I've got tweens now, and the handprints have been replaced by emo-looking characters that say things like, "Happy Turkey Day. You Rawk."
Inherited your genius and artistic abilities, indeed. Seriously, I loved getting those first holiday and then Mother's Day gifts.
Such precision with the beak and eyes!
A budding artist in the chicky house.
Nice.
Happy thanksgiving!
She IS brilliant. And obviously has a future in farm art ;)
Is her name Julia too? (I don't know her real name at all...) That looks a lot like the way Julia used to write her name...
