Lame-O

Moving in four days. Packing constantly. Trying not to staple a certain whiny little Chicky to the wall while soothing babe in arms (no really, she's in my arms as I type this. Left arm almost completely asleep. Send help.) and simultaneously nursing said babe in arms while she goes through growth spurt from hell. Will update soon with pictures - because you really must see the mountain o' boxes taking up residence in my bedroom to believe if - when babe in arms going through growth spurt from hell starts sleeping again. In her own bed for more than 45 minutes at a time. For realz.

Until then, answer me this - How can one small family obtain so much crap in six short years of living? Guess I'll add figuring out that great mystery to my list of things to do. If I could find my list of things to do.

*sigh*

I wanted to nibble on her tummy but didn't want to risk waking her because she was FINALLY SLEEPING.

Just think. In a few short weeks you'll be filling your dream home with love and affection...and boxes of stuff. LOL Just keep your head up and keep plugging at it. I have faith that once this is over, you'll have all kinds of stories to laugh at. Keep reaching for the dream...you can do it.

Yikes. That's why I dread moving. At least it would give me an excuse to rent a big ass dumpster to toss some crap.

Oy. We've been here 12 years. The crap...lord, the crap. Good luck with your move. I can't imagine doing all that with two young babies.

If I knew how stuff multiplied, I wouldn't have had so many boxes to pack for upstairs... Must weed as I unpack. Weed HEAVILY.

Would totally hold CC for you,if only you were moving CLOSER. Yeesh.

I need to move every 2-3 years or so just to keep up on the accumulation of crappola in my house. I don't envy you 6 years worth!

But the picture almost makes up for it.

Just settle for biting her toes. They're less likely to wake up.

That sure is one beautiful baby there she looks so peaceful.

We moved last year and there are boxes I still haven't unpacked!

Nothing better than a picture of a baby sleeping.

Oh she is just so precious!

I hear you on the packing - I have already decided that the next house we live in will be our final dwelling. Moving S.U.C.K.S.

But at least the end result will be fabulous!

We, the westerners love hoarding! We are experts on attachment to the point we become addicts!
When we adopted our 2 YO from Africa nothing was his. Now almost 2 years later he is catching on and saying things like:
That's mine!
Can I have that?
Who bought it?
I want it!

I've obviously taught him something!@#!

Good luck with the move!

We just moved last month and, like you, I was shocked at how much CRAP we had accumulated!

(And her belly is totally nom-nom-nom-able...very cute!!)

Dude, sounds like you need a sling for wee C to sleep in while you pack! Don't babies come with those automatically these days?

Good luck with the move! And can I just say that this little CC is a chip off the ol' Chicky?

Good luck! My sympathies. We moved when my firstborn was only 12 weeks old. I wasn't working, so Husband brought home boxes each night and I filled them in between nursing. Those growth spurts - the feeding sessions never seem to end!

In our 7 years together we have lived in 7 houses. Each time I move I purge in a big way. And yet, faced with the newest move I look around and realise we still have an amazing amount of crap. Good luck!

Mm..that babe looks scrumptious. So cute when they're sleeping eh?

It truly IS shocking how much crap we acquire. Purge before you move by freecycling it or on the CraigsList free ads. You will be shocked what people with come and pick up. And then do the same thing again after you move it. You can get rid of a ton of stuff that other people need and will use, and your house will be better for it. Hugs.

Having recently moved myself with two wee ones, I feel your pain.

Just think, though, of the new house and it's all worth it!

I think I'd have to send my children away to be raised by wolves while I packed up and moved. I'd take them back after we moved into our new home, honest.

Good luck and happy moving.

We've lived in this house for 3 years, and there are still unpacked boxes in the basement. Good thing I've vowed never to move ever again! Good luck!

P.S. omg the BABY! So scrumptious!
