Ask me a question and I'll tell you no lies. Unless you want me to.

Oh hey, lookie here. I've got a blog. I should probably write something, eh?

Um...

This is the first time in my blogging career (and I use that term VERY loosely) that I've been at a total loss for words. Maybe it's because I missed Blogher this year. Or it might have something to do with that new baby of mine. Or maybe it's all the energy that is required of me to keep watch over my two children. Because you never know when Chicky will try to love C.C. so much that her little head pops right off.

I know this is lame, and I know I've done it before, but I need a small push to keep writing. So ask me anything and I'll be as honest as I possibly can. Any questions you've ever had about me just ask away. I'm an open book. Want to know about me in high school? Anything about my childhood? Musical preferences? Embarrassing stories (be specific please)? Favorite sexual position?

Okay, scratch that last one. I don't want to bore you all to death.

I need ideas or this blog will slip away from me while I'm busy trying not to duct tape Chicky to the wall.

So, what do you want to know about me? Anyone? Bueller?

Ooh, ooh! I've got a question. Can you come over here and wipe my butt?

I totally get where you're coming from with the writer's block thing. With that being said...

Pick five (that's 5; no more, no less) CDs that, if a law was passed allowing you to only own five CDs for the rest of your life, you would take as "your five". (It's your call how much explaining you do about your selections.)

Name one (or more) blogger that you have never met in real life, but would jump at the opportunity.

OK, I think that's enough.

My question is long. Also long overdue. It's a dog thing.

I have a 13 year old shepherd mix (doberman? husky? other stuff?). She's super with people of all ages, LOVES people. She's unpredictable with dogs. As a general rule young males are OK, friends even and almost immediately. Also, usually smaller dogs are good, puppies are great, more often than not another GSD is immediately loved. Any dog with attitude is NOT OK, and most female adult dogs don't fare well at all, though we've worked through that carefully in the past. She's not as bad when I'm not the one walking her and weirdly when I walk her with another super sweet, utterly unaggressive male dog her age that she's known all her life they switch roles entirely. She pays no attention to other dogs and he lunges for them. She's 13 and this was a late-ish onset personality switch so I don't expect I'm going to change her. However I live in a very dog heavy neighborhood and we encounter other dogs all the time. What should I be doing (besides hauling her ass at high speed - hampered by her arthritis - across the street) to interact smartly and safely with the local dog population? I'd like people to be a getting a more honest interpretation of this incredibly good dog rather than looking like a crazy hermit lady with the rabid killer dog.

Help. Please.

Thanks!

Oh, the ME TOO.

I think, though, that when you have something to say we will be here waiting.

I think it's about time for the "ask away" over at the Ladybug's Picnic as well. I've got NOTHING.

But my question for you is, how can I help you with packing/moving? Not CAN I help, because like it or not sister, I'm helping.

Life happens, your blog mojo will come back. We shall be here when it does!

Love the photo, and the caption. She is adorable. I can't get over all that hair, even though my son was like that. My girls are born bald I guess.

Let's see, a question...

Why does my baby poop the minute I get her into a dry diaper?

Drama Queen said...

I really don't have a question either, but I love your blog and will be waiting patiently for your life to calm down and you to get back into the routine.

I LOVE that picture. I just wanna take a big ole bite out of those cheeks!

do you think you'll have more children (hard to contemplate at this stage, I know) sometime in the future?

What's your favorite movie? What is ONE movie you can quote from start to finish?

If you could go back in time 5 years, what would you tell yourself?

I think you should totally "blogart" this meme:

What an adorable picture! C.C. is very cute.

Hum, how about the story of how you met Mr. C (or have you posted that already?)

OK, that picture distracted me. Too cute!

I was tagged to do a neat meme by Alpha Dogma. I have yet to do it, but pretend I've tagged you already, ok? Here is the link to her version and the details:

Your daughter is so adorable. I'm in the hospital on bed rest and her cuteness is totally inspiring me on to another day. Share what you like, but please include infant cuteness!

First, how do you not chomp those baby cheeks off of your sweet baby? Two, do you ever feel like you are a good enough role model to your girls in this crazy world? Like will they be okay following your lead and learning from you, despite the media influences to be perfect?

I ask because I have two girls and a boy on the way and I wonder if I can do enough to help them to know that they are okay as they are. And I wonder if it's just me.

Damn that kid is cute.

Tell us about your first romantic kiss. Not first kiss, unless it was dreamy...but the one where your heart went all aflutter and you lived on that kiss for days.

I need romance. Hubs is out of town.

Sigh.

Well, with a baby that cute, you could just turn it into a photo blog... ;)

I don't think I could blog either with that sweet little face looking at me all day long. She is precious! Your groove will come back before you know it!

I have a question, how do you get 21 (22) beautiful blog comments when you "have nothing to say?" That's a gift...run with it.

mo-wo said...

I have a moving question. You are moving soon. What kind of move is this for you? Are you going to cleanse on this move or is it sort of a chuck it all in boxes and survive the hell deadlines, only?

I can imagine you might have great move story for us. Something you will finally throw out on this move. Or maybe a surprise item you forgot about that you can amuse us with?

Most incongruous box contents?

You get the idea.

1. Book you can read over and over again (adult book - goodnight moon doesn't count)

2. What song would be the theme song to a tv sitcom of your life?

3. If you had to lose one of your senses what sense would you lose and why?

4. What song from a musical gets locked in your head and you can't lose it?

5. Would you rather have a million bucks or be skinny for life regardless of what you eat or how much exercise you do.

What bizarre thing scares you the most? Not like losing your kid at a beach type of thing, but more like ET's lit up finger.

For me, the sound of a dentist's drill will send me screaming from the room. That, and crusty feet in sandals.

You?

5 things you want to accomplish in your lifetime..

Holly said...

Best/favorite modern invention?

I second the request for moving stories, and mo-wo's suggestion of "most incongruous box contents" sounds funny.

When you put a new roll of toilet paper on the toilet paper holder, is the loose end on the inside (toward the wall) or the outside (toward the room)? I heard that question as an icebreaker once, and we all went around the room with our answers, and every single person without exception was Shocked that anyone would purposely do it differently than themselves. I admit, I always thought when it was put on "backwards" the person must not have been paying attention.

C.C. is completely adorable. And your captions are hilarious. Kia's right that you could turn this into a photo blog and we'd all still be happy.

What is something you wished you did/achieved/witnessed/experienced before having kids? Why didn't you do it?

What is the craziest thing you ever did and why did you do it?

No questions here. Too brain dead. I've been experiencing the same "new mama/writer's block" so the fact that you're going through something of the same makes me feel better (after all, you're a real blogger with, you know... ads n' stuff).

Be warned: I'm probably gonna steal some of these ideas for posts. That is, if I ever get time between my own almost-three-year old who drives me nuts and the newborn permanently attached to my breast.

If you were an ice cream what flavour would you be? Oh that question might make Redneck want to lick you. Bwah ha ha...

Your wee girl is much too adorable!

I'm totally stealing some of these questions. I've been stuck in bloggy doldrums for weeks now.

The expression on that child's face is priceless.

OMGosh - C.C. is just too cute for words. That hair! Those cheeks!

I've got a few for you (although it looks like you're set for the next year or so . . .)

How long have you been blogging?

How did you come up with your blog name?

Were you and Ladybug friends before blogging or since?

What did you do for work before you were a mom? Plans to go back to work?

Sorry if these have been answered, I'm a fairly new blog reader.

Love the shoes at the top of your blog - do you own them????

What a cute picture!

I hear you about the first child popping off the head of the second! My almost-4 yo loves his baby brother SOOOO much that he just squeezes and squeezes ... I cannot leave them alone together!

How do you make such goddang gorgeous babies? no, that's not it.
Favourite Dead song? no, no, makes me look nerdy.

how's this - what was your favourite kind of night out before you had kids - hell, maybe even before you had a husband? Do you miss those nights?

Been there. Two kids can really drain the energy out of you for blogging, too.

My question is: so, will you be coming to BlogHer next year? Or one of the local ones this year?

Yes, that really is my question. I just want to know when I get to see you again.

Ok. I have a question...do you write poetry? And if you do, will you share a poem you wrote with us? And if you don't, will you tell us your favorite poem by another author?

That baby is just plain adorable. She gets much cuter and I'm gonna be dropping eggs like a hen. I am totally trying for a girl as I am the mom of twin boys now. Wish me luck that I get a girl as cute as yours because she is a babydoll!
