And just like that, another generation of dog trainer was born.

All she needs is a bait bag full of liver treats and hot dogs and she could be me at any given training class I teach. Spooky.

Before I shot that picture my dog looked like this:

Lumpy McLumpypants with her lovey bear.

Then Chicky came along, pointed at the bumper and said "Lana, toy". Clear, firm and to the point. As in, "Toy. Here. Now." Just like a command should be given, complete with a finger point. And don't you know that the damn dog retrieved that toy for her. Do you know what this means? Not only does my dog listen but apparently my kid has been paying attention to what I've been doing, too. I've never been so proud.

Now, who wants to hire me? Anyone?

Anyone?

Bueller?

Alright, fine. Who wants to hire Chicky? She's clearly a natural and she'll work for animal crackers.

I've got two unruly basset hounds, I'll hire her! I have endless animal crackers!

Who wouldn't do anything she said?

Yes, but could she do that with borzoi? I think we often have more success herding the cats. :)

Learning to bark orders a young age. You've taught her well!

does she babysit too? send her over.

oh excellent! I'll hire you both. One of you can work on my dog and the other can concentrate on the kids.

Can she train 2 unruly teenagers and a worthless pet? If so, send her over. She can have all the cookies she can eat.

Right, Chicky then. Does she take Goldfish?

I'll hire you both. But. . .wait. .. I don't have a dog. Maybe you could just boss my 2 year old around.

You're BOTH hired. I need help badly!

I'll take both of you, but you may need more reinforcements. Playdate anyone?

The apple doesn't fall very far from the tree, does it?

Chicky can come over and train my dog any day. I have a Boston Terrier, a wild little punk. But we love him so...

can she train my husband to put away his laundry?

Yet one more example that our kids pay attention to everything we do. I'd hire you both, but I don't have a dog :(

Sad that a two year old can train a dog twice her size when I can't manage one who is below my knee.

I'm thinking of smuggling Nixon, the World's Greatest Dog, Ever. into to BlogHer with me.

You won't mind rooming with a mutt will ya?

I mean the DOG, you cheeky thing.

That is AWESOME!

WTG Chicky! (And Mrs. Chicky, too!)

Consider her hired. She can teach my kids and dog. :)

Chicky takes charge. That's a great picture.

I wish she had been available to train our untrainable dog that we used to have!

I already have my own 2 year old dog trainer, but thanks for offering :) Unfortunately, my trainer exacerbates our dog's biggest behavioral problem by creating the diapers that Roxie loves to eat.

dude. is that a sox hat? had to come back to investigate.

Oh that is so adoreable! I LOVE it. She's a smart little cookie. And so pretty, pretty too!

Awesome-she's a chip off the old block!

Yesterday, Kaitlyn was standing in front of our front screen door, watching her brothers play outside, and Elvis saw someone walking by on the sidewalk and ran up to the door getting ready to start barking. Kaitlyn turned around, made this sweeping motion with her hand, and yelled "A-BAH, Ehbis!", which I interpreted to mean "get BACK, Elvis!". That's my girl :)

Go, CB! Pumpkinpie just screams at the cats in a way I never do, which makes me wonder... is that how it sounds to her wee ears?

Can you come train my kids to do that? Retrieve, I mean? Hell, can Chicky come do it?

it's so funny. our dog totally listens to our son, but not ME.

funnily enough, neither does my son.
