Chicky's first day at the park...

... Started out well. You can't go wrong with a new pair of shades and a smart new hat.

But quickly took a turn for the worse when Little Chicky found out there would be swings involved.

Miss Pussface of Pussinghamshiretonville was so not impressed and soon after this picture was taken demanded to be taken out of this "foul contraption." Her words, not mine.

She did, however, enjoy the tunnel which, she said, reminded her of being in a lovely, warm solarium.

All in all, not a great first outing but a memorable one.

Those shades...she looks like Jackie O. What a doll.

I'm surprised she didn't enjoy the swing though.

I think you need to call her the Devine Miss Chicky or Chicky-O. I love the hat and glasses, oh so chic.

SIGH. And I just wrote about how I'm over the whole baby fever thing. Thanks a lot. Now my ovaries hurt.

The picture of her with her feet dangling in the swing is priceless. Gee and I thought my daughter was an alien baby when she hated to go on the swings.

I'm quite impressed with the use of contraption in Julia’s vocabulary. Good on you!

I was utterly, totally terrified of swings until about the age of 6. Chicky baby is a woman after my own heart. And a gorgeous doll, to boot. Does she like younger men? Cuz I got one in my womb right now that would be PERFECT for her. :-)

Oh yeah, Cordy agrees with Chicky on the swings. In her eyes, they are the devil's contraption. Slides, however, are fun.

Great pictures!

I don't like swings either. She is a smart chicky. :-)

I'm so glad to hear that so many others hate swings! It really takes a load off my mind, or in the words of Kellie Pickler, my chest.

And I'm thinking of changing her name to Diva Chicky.

I betcha any money in a few months she'll be running all over the place and loving the park (perhaps even the "big girl" swing)

Very very cute!

(And your daughter has way cooler sunglasses than I do. Hmmphf.)

It took a while for my first daughter to warm-up to the playground. And then even longer to warm-up to the idea of other kids using "her" playground.

soon you will be happy that she isn't a swinger... babies who swing do not run around the park and tire themselves out... babies who swing just yell for mama to PUSH them and sit in the swing all afternoon whilst mama's arm gets sore.

Could you please send me the chapter in the manual that indicates just how to keep sunglasses on a child so that she looks absurdly cute for photos? Mine seems to be missing and I'm struggling without it.

I need to go lie down. My reproductive system has just had a complete meltdown and needles are going off the charts from the cuteness overload.

Mine hated the swings at first, but now that she's older and wiser, she can't get enough! Chicky baby is lookin' sweet in those shades!

A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E!

Yes, she's too mature for a swing. Really, mom. That's so last season!

My husband bought our baby a girl sunhat. He didn;t realize there are pink cherries on it.

I especially like the last photo!

love the shades! Although with the big baby cheeks and double chin, it might be a bit Elton this milennium...

how cute! My daughter also did not care much for the swings. She made a sourpuss when I put her in the sand too. LOL.

My gawd - this post is too cute.

And Miss Pussface sitting in that swing - she has earned the right to express her extreme un-impressedness. (Me likes to make up words.)

By the way, love your new bio photo.
