I'm a sneaky little weasel. I haven't told ANYONE about my blog except Hubz and that's only because it was his idea. I've toyed with starting another one that would be more toned down and "other people" friendly (because I do actually know some real life humans) but that would just cut into my limited "feed the monkey on my back" time. I know you understand, Mrs. Chicky.IzzyMomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02665580688897720715noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17779098.post-1142469818425996032006-03-15T19:43:00.000-05:002006-03-15T19:43:00.000-05:00I'm glad everyone enjoyed this topic. I don't think she even reads it! But she's the only one in my family (besides the Hubby) who is going to know about it. There is no way I'm going to let the rest of the loonies who are related to me know that I chat about them from time to time!

But, if they do find out, everything I say is said with love. ;)

Although, I am thinking about the Blood Oath thing.Chicky Chicky Babyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18056206889322232109noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17779098.post-1142462593668997602006-03-15T17:43:00.000-05:002006-03-15T17:43:00.000-05:00I just came to your blog from Wendy (View from Cra...I just came to your blog from Wendy (View from Crazy) for the first time. I also am addicted to blogging. I have bloggareah. I can't stop myself. A 12 step program is in order. :)

My family knows, but they have actual lives and don't bother to read, I don't think. Except my mom. I self edit for my daughter, who reads it, and my old CEO, who reads it, and I don't want him knowing about the time I went to the chiropractor and had to wear just a gown that opened in the back for an exam, but I was wearing a thong. Everyone else in the UNIVERSE can know that, but not him. :)

I don't blog about work though. I don't remember how the ex-boss-man found out about it.

You have to be careful, though, becuase someone could find out. So it's a choice...write what you feel, completely free...or self censure a bit.Jhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00653383372182667361noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17779098.post-1142450609242740872006-03-15T14:23:00.000-05:002006-03-15T14:23:00.000-05:00I think about this a lot. My blog is secret, even though I never talk about other people in my life, at least not in a negative way.

I wonder if I should tell my family, but I like thinking that if I ever needed to I could vent online.

I also suspect that my father found the blog, but I can't be sure.

So for now, only the husband knows. That kinda sucks b/c plenty of times I could have bitched about them. BUT my aunt found my old blog, told my mom I was mean and swore a lot :) so I moved and now use code names.

And I so hear ya, I stopped looking at blogrolls b/c mine is out of control already. I just can't read another blog. Although I did just add you ;) But last one, I swear!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17779098.post-1142377537054234032006-03-14T18:05:00.000-05:002006-03-14T18:05:00.000-05:00I'm like you ... a closet blogger. My sister would read, my parents would be confused, and my friends, I don't want them to feel obligated. Or call me on it when they know I'm full of shit. :)MrsFortunehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17326242993598760618noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17779098.post-1142363364647860162006-03-14T14:09:00.000-05:002006-03-14T14:09:00.000-05:00My mom knows, but she'd never know how to find my ...My mom knows, but she'd never know how to find my site. My husband and his family know, and they do read it. I couldn't help letting my husband find out - he was wondering what I was doing spending so much time on the computer.

My dad's side of the family doesn't know, and I will never tell them. While I haven't really written about my father yet, it will come up at some point, and it won't be nice.Christinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07345875955750219033noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17779098.post-1142360573672089182006-03-14T13:22:00.000-05:002006-03-14T13:22:00.000-05:00My mother knows, but she doesn't have a computer a...My mother knows, but she doesn't have a computer and has no idea how to operate one. My dad knows, but I don't care. Husband's family on the other hand . . . NO ONE knows. I approached my blog more like a columnist/memoirist than a diarist. So I decided that while I would delve into feelings and personal stuff, I also had to keep in mind that my cousins were reading, and that I didn't want to hurt anyone.

I'm glad my mom reads, for one--she's my biggest fan!

But yes, there are times that I wish it was so anonymous that I could just confide every icky moment. My mom is one of my biggest fans, and my sister. So yes, I have to be careful not to bash anyone, and that's okay. That is what DH is for!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
