Fisher
had his surgery yesterday. When we took him home he was completely spaced out and not at all happy about the large cone on his head. As you can probably tell from the picture.
Poor dog. He passed out somewhere and when he woke up there was a large plastic lampshade around his neck and I'm sure it felt like someone had kicked him in his non-existent nuts. I bet he had a wicked headache and a serious case of cotton mouth too. If he could talk, Fisher would call it totally demoralizing. But around here we call that "Sunday morning".
Aww, poor guy... er... it?
ReplyDeleteI bet you could pick up some pretty cool satellite stations with that thing.
Still super cute, even as a cone head.
ReplyDeleteAwww... Poor baby. Now he reminds me of my dog Sampson in this photo:

Except Sampson looks like he was still at the kegger here.
Hope he feels better soon.
Oh puppy! That is the most pitiful face I've ever seen, and I have a lab who heretofore held the record for most pitiful face ever, so that's really saying something.
ReplyDeletePoor guy. And poor you. I know how rough it is when our pets are suffering.
I hope he is better soon.
And that his fur grows back quickly.
My doggie's top layer of fur is *just now* growing back.
Wow, what a bummer dude.
ReplyDeleteaw, poor baby! hope he's feeling better very soon!
ReplyDeleteand "we call that Sunday morning"? Priceless. LOL
Poor guy!
ReplyDeleteBet that hood there is good for an extra handful of doggie treats, tho'...
Bless his heart! I had a kitten that had to wear one and he hated it. He did find a way around it though so better watch big boy.
ReplyDeleteSunday morning? How about every weekday morning? Hee.
ReplyDeleteDon't let him out in the rain (or is that turkeys?) and I really hope he heals quickly. No really - I do.
Oh poor thing...
ReplyDeleteGet well soon Fisher. We have a recuperating pup at our house too, but no cone for him. he about strangled himself trying to get out the doggie door!
ReplyDeleteawww...
ReplyDeletemy dog HATES the cone. He had to wear it for a hot spot last month and he was running around the house bashing into walls, door frames, furniture, panicking, and doing it even more.
Anyway, I hope Fisher will be ok.
Aw. Poor Fisher. He looks so bummed. My cat hates that thing. He can barely lift his head with it on, but the soft collar did not prevent him from tearing his stitches out. Hope Fisher recuperates quickly!
ReplyDeletePoor baby! Those first days with the cone are so hard ... but I bet he'll be back to licking himself in no time.
ReplyDelete(I've had a lot of foster dogs get snipped and coned here. They *always* bump into everything the first few days, and then are so grateful to get it off. Best wishes for an easy recovery!)
What an expression! I wish I could kiss his cute doggie nose!
ReplyDeletePoor guy! My boys have taken to wearing the old e-collar as a skirt. Nice.
ReplyDeletePoor guy. I hope he gets better soon. I HATE those cone thingies. I had a rottweiler who had two ACL surgeries so she wore them for a long time. Really sad. And sort of destructive.
