"Honey, can you please sit down on your tushy."
Chicky gives me a quizzical look and sits down.
"Tushy?"
"Yeah, your tushy. That's another word for your bum."
Pops up out of the water and smacks her butt. Hard.
"Dis?" Slaps it again.
"Yes, that," resisting the urge to pinch it.
"No, Mama, not Chicky's tushy. Dats Chicky's booty."
Proceeds to wiggle her butt while singing:
"Sake, sake, sake. Sake your booo-ty. Sake your booooo-tyyyy."
I'm so proud.
sweet merciful, i'm never going to be able to hear that song again without a little toddler tushy music video playing in my head.
ReplyDeletei'm torn between giggling and wanting to scrub my brain. :)
That is too dang cute for words!
ReplyDeleteYeah well, my daughter's first song was..
ReplyDeleteI see your heiney
It's nice and shiny
You better hide it
Before I bite it!
Heh.
Hahaha! Very funny.
ReplyDeleteThat's unbelievably adorable. She's totally your daughter through and through.
ReplyDeleteShake it girl!
Ok, she is way cuter than the kid in the video from yesterday. Way.
ReplyDeleteWow! How does she channel KC & the Sunshine Band! ;)
ReplyDeleteAt least you didn't pay for your child to learn that.
ReplyDeleteOh it starts so young. She's so funny.
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute! I love how even at a young age kids are able to point out when you are obviously wrong.
ReplyDeleteRidiculously cute. I sing that to my daughter all the time. This gives me hope she will one day sing it back to me!
ReplyDeleteSusan at Working Moms Against Guilt
That's hilarious! Don't you love it when they come up with stuff like that?
ReplyDeleteJulie
Using My Words
Where do they come up with this stuff? That is so funny!
ReplyDeleteWow Einey sings that all the time and I still wonder where she got it from. Of course that also means Moe and Meenie sing is as well.
ReplyDeleteWhenever I sing, I hear 'No, Mommy! Doooon't sing!'
ReplyDeleteThe four year old's been doing it for a while but now the two year old joins in. Ahh, validation.
Wait until she starts with " do a little dance, make a little love, get down tonight" Then you have a problem.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Flutter, if you've got that much cute running around your house you have a duty to mankind to procreate.
ReplyDeleteMy youngest does her "booty dance" for anyone who will bother to watch. She'll be a hit at the local strip club someday.
ReplyDeleteToo cute :)
ReplyDeleteI've been singing the Peanut this song since she was three months old, as it was one of the only things that would make her stop crying. If this is what I have to look forward to in the future, it was totally worth having the song run through my head for hours at a time.
ReplyDeleteWay too cute!
Hysterical! :-)
ReplyDeleteHahahaha! TOO funny. And I do recognize the situation. I have to ask Tim to sit down in bath all the time.
ReplyDeleteThat is why two is such a great age.
ReplyDeleteToo cute! My daughter always sings that song while she shakes the milk in her sippy cup.
ReplyDeleteLove it! Chicky is sooo your daughter!
ReplyDeleteThe Poo sings that all the time - my mom taught it to her. She and Chicky could totally roll together.
ReplyDeleteps - a birdie told me it is your birthday today. Happy happy to you!
she's so cute :) lol - I can almost picture my cousin Jenna doing that same thing :)
ReplyDeleteFer chrissake, another graduate of the KC & The Sunshine Band Academy.
ReplyDeleteOh my. How did you not pinch/smack/bite that cuteness? Mine has discovered how much I love her little bellybutton, and keeps showing it to me, just begging for a tickle or zerbert. Little goof.
ReplyDeleteHaha! So cute. And I would take that over, "My hump, my hump, my lovely lady lump! ;)
ReplyDeleteJane, Pinks & Blues
That is so adorable! Where's the video camera when you need it?
ReplyDeleteLOL! I'm going to think of her everytime I hear that song!
ReplyDeleteAnd you are now cool enough to hang with the moosh crowd.
